We don't have a calendar to follow but we are listing the events
that are coming up.
Women’s Bible Study
on Monday evenings at 7:00 p.m. have resumed. All women of St. Matthew’s are invited to attend. Hope to see you there!
Sunday morning Bible class is scheduled to resume at its usual time slot between services on Sunday, September 20. Bible class meets in the fellowship area downstairs. We will meet as usual with the exception that the tasty snacks we have usually enjoyed will not be served (as least for the time being.) We will resume the study of Romans that was interrupted last spring when in person class was suspended.
LWMS Save the Date The LWMS fall rally is scheduled for Saturday, October 24th at St. Matthew’s in Oconomowoc. The schedule for the ½ day rally includes registration and morning refreshments from 8-9 am; devotion, mission presentation and business meeting from 9 am – 12pm, and lunch (per Covid guidelines) at noon. The featured guest speakers will be Pastor Nate Seiltz and St. Matthew’s Oconomowoc member Peg Thiele. They will be speaking on their work in Multi-Language Productions and a newer ministry, TELL. Please consider attending the rally to learn more about this TELL ministry in WELS! We will need to RSVP a head count to the ladies at St. Matthew’s, so please either sign up on the sheet provided in the narthex or call Ann Janke (608) 563-4383 by Sunday, October 4.
LWMS Mission Offerings – mission offerings for the projects chosen at the fall rally in Oconomowoc can be given to Ann Janke at church or mailed to Ann. Checks should be made payable to St. Matthew’s Evening Guild. They need to be sent to our Rock River circuit treasurer by October 6, so please have your mission offering to Ann also by October 4. The projects to be voted on (one Home; one World) are:
Home Mission Musical Assistance (electronic tools for mission congregations)/Vans for Missions (transportation for mission congregation outreach programs.)
World Mission Proclaimers (solar-powered audio Bibles) /India Children’s Homes and Schools (WELS supports and supervises six children’s homes and Gentile Shepherd Lutheran School)
